    Rally Finland. Done for Eurolamp
    03.08.2014

Ukrainian rally team Eurolamp WRT completed this WRC event – Rally Finland had four days and become the real challenge for cars and crews.

Valery Gorban and Vladimir Corsya had extremely tough competition this time: they were fighting with damages, found the wheel of theirs MINI broken twice, took the restart with Rally2 and finally completed the rally. Thereby Rally Finland brought only the seventh and final position in the WRC 2 for Eurolamp WRT. However Ukrainians got very important experience during this event and fun and pleasure of the fast roads.

This year roads of Rally Finland looked not really “Finnish” sometimes: this rally had hard, fast and wide roads usually but this time drivers discovered that only one round of each day was really great. After day service crews found the road damaged: deep track, stones and even holes appeared exactly at the line. Of course, all those bad surprises caused consequences: numerous punctures, damages to wheels and suspension. Valery Gorban faced this problem too: damaged rim damaged the brakes thereby the crew lost too much time.

However, if technical troubles didn’t influence the crew’s pace, Eurolamp WRT could show their potential completely. Valery Gorban was one of Top 5 in WRC 2 at some special stages, and made good progress in WRC 2 protocol. Despite the unexpected troubles during the race and hard road conditions Rally Finland itself remains one of the most beautiful and interesting races in the world. So Ukrainian crew can confirm – we got a lot of pleasure, as well as necessary experience and driving skills. And Top 3 in WRC 2 selebrated Estonian Karl Kruuda, Jari Ketomaa and Ott Tanak. We would like to thank all our fans for support and attention to our rally!
